CASH ONLY!! The interior is cute and retro, with plenty of seating and neon lighting, and there are many flavors of delicious ice cream and many options of how to eat it. The Waffle Sundae looks amazing!! Quarts available for purchase, which is awesome.

GOOD ICE CREAM

Always has the greatest varieties of flavors and a friendly staff. Seating is good and try to eat outside if possible.

Visiting family here in barneget light and rode bicycles to Poppys Love the hometown atmosphere it has and what a great place for the neighborhood together! Chocolate peanut butter in waffle cone! Yum!

Good ice cream, long lines though

Slowest service on long beach island.. the staff was friendly and the serve Artic Ice Cream (the best ice cream on the planet) so that was redeeming but I will not be headed back. Took over 30 minutes to get served and there were not that many folks in front of us. Great ice cream but not worth the time..

The icecream is delicious and you can take a quick walk to the lighthouse. Staff is a always very friendly and patient!

Very popular bc only one in that area, but should have bug zapper, mosquitos eat you alive on the patio. Good ice cream.

Great ice cream! Not busy during the day but very long line in the summer evenings. They have soft serve and regular ice cream and toppings!

Only been to Poppys once but we cant wait to go back on our next trip. We stopped after a trip to the Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. They have a big selection of ice creams. Really friendly staff!

This place was delicious! Only downside was that they ran out of mint chocolate chip before I came (I came at 2pm ish) fairly priced, great place to cool off from the summer heat.

BEWARE: Ice cream at Poppys is incredibly addictive and you may feel the need to go multiple times during your stay on LBI.Adorable shoppe with outdoor seating and all the staff members are stellar! Worth the walk, ride, or drive even if you are located south.

Quintessential LBI ice cream parlor. This place is the source of a lot of great memories for a lot of people. You can now order ahead online to get your ice cream to go but for many, the wait in line is a right of passage.

Incredible ice cream! Both my partner and I went back for more (we each had 3-4 scoops!). Very creamy. Loved the Blueberry Pie, Birthday Cake, and Jersey Shore. Very social distancing friendly, and tables outside. Also it is no longer Cash Only, just FYI! Very friendly service. My partner dropped his whipped cream by accident and they replaced it no questions asked.

A must for any LBI trip. Line is always out the door and down the ramp, but its part of the fun and enjoyment of going. It makes the ice cream taste that much better once you have it.
